Novel bacteria associated with сancer

Your support will advance our innovative efforts to study the specific microbiomes of individuals with different types of cancers.

The Prevalence of Many Cancers is on the Rise, and Only Continued Research Will Help to Overcome These Diseases

It is currently estimated that greater than 20% of cancers (which is likely an underestimation) are caused by microbes or are microbe-related. Research at the Human Microbiology Institute is dedicated to identifying novel pathogens among cancer-induced immunosuppressed patients and characterizing the role of these bacteria in cancer progression. With your help, we have already made amazing discoveries and have evaluated the microbiomes of patients with a variety of cancers. Your continued support will only further these accomplishments.
